The increasing penetration of digital platforms in India has brought significant opportunities for the
growth of Indian Regional Language (IRL) content. With over 90% of internet users in India preferring
content in their native languages, the demand for localized digital content is surging across sectors
such as entertainment, education, e-commerce, and news. However, creating sustainable business
models for IRL content remains a challenge due to monetization barriers, scalability issues, and limited
technological infrastructure. This paper examines the factors driving the popularity of IRL content and
identifies opportunities for building viable and scalable business models in this domain. It explores
innovative strategies, including the use of artificial intelligence for content personalization,
partnerships for localized marketing, and leveraging social media platforms for regional outreach. The
research also highlights challenges such as content quality, intellectual property concerns, and market
fragmentation while proposing actionable solutions to address them. By focusing on the intersection
of technology, culture, and market demand, this study provides insights for content creators,
businesses, and policymakers to tap into the growing regional language market. The findings
underscore the potential of IRL content to create an inclusive and sustainable digital economy,
enhancing access and engagement for millions of Indian users. |
