dc.description.abstract The rapid integration of digital technologies into everyday life has transformed how students learn, communicate, and organise their routines. However, this digital immersion has also given rise to the psychological phenomenon known as digital overload, which refers to excessive information flow, continuous connectivity, and constant digital engagement. This paper investigates the relationship between digital overload and mental fatigue among students, using secondary data from scholarly articles, government reports, global surveys, and psychological studies conducted over the past decade. Findings indicate that prolonged screen time, excessive social media use, multitasking with digital devices, and irregular sleep schedules are strongly associated with mental fatigue, cognitive exhaustion, reduced academic performance, and higher anxiety levels among students. The paper concludes with recommendations for educators, policy-makers, parents, and students to promote healthier digital behaviour. en_US
